The first Power Listening™ agency

We listen. You close.

Your buyers ask AI before they ask you. We help technology companies win them over. We listen to your market and to the people in every deal, and we stay with your team until the closing presentation.

Based in Cape Town. We work in English-speaking markets across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the United States.

The Power Listening™ loop

  1. Market listening
  2. Positioning
  3. Prospect listening
  4. Deal content
  5. Closing presentation

Your next buyer has already explored the options with AI.

Before they meet your sellers, many buyers now ask AI about their problem, the alternatives and probably about you. They arrive informed, with questions of their own, and they want to talk about their own situation.

AI helps your team too. It can draft content for a single account and go through every discovery call in detail. But your team still needs an accurate picture of the buyer, and that comes from listening.

The buyer

Arrives prepared and expects to be understood

They have done their research with AI. They want a seller who knows their situation.

The seller

Can now produce far more with AI's help

Making the material is quick now. The hard part is knowing the buyer well enough to make it matter to them.

We listen to the market you sell into, and to the deals you are working on.

Blacfox is the first Power Listening™ agency. Power Listening is our method, and we use it in both places, for a whole market and for a single deal. AI helps with analysis and first drafts. People do the listening, the thinking and the writing.

Market listening

Research into what buyers value, and what sets one provider apart from the rest

Buyers choose a provider for what makes it different. Features that every competitor also has give them no reason to choose you. We talk to buyers in your market and find the one or two differences they value and you can honestly claim. Then we build your positioning, your messaging and how you go to market on them.

Prospect listening

Discovery with the people in each deal, and a close look at every call

Everyone in a deal has their own reasons, worries and questions. We prepare the discovery questions, study each call for what was learned and what is still open, and write the content, decks and closing presentation for that deal.

What your sellers take into the next meeting.

We build each item from what the buyer told you.

01
Discovery questions for your sales conversations
Written for the account and the people in it, so the first conversation is about them.
→
02
Analysis of each call
What was learned, what is still open and what to raise next.
→
03
Content for each account
Documents, ebooks, white papers and other material, written by our writers for one account from what its people told you.
→
04
Decks for each buyer and each stage of the deal
Built for these buyers at this point in the purchase.
→
05
A closing presentation for each deal
Made for the deal in front of you. We work with your team through this last step.

Sooner or later the deal comes down to one presentation.

We stay with your team after the lead is handed over, right up to the last step of the deal. We help them use what they learned in discovery to make their case. The buyer should hear their own situation described accurately, then hear what sets you apart and why it matters to them.

Our goal is a better chance of closing each deal. Nobody can promise that every deal will close, and we do not.

Your buyer will say things that only a person who is listening will notice.

"Machines can hear; only people can listen."

buyers surveyed in our 2026 study

To understand the person behind a purchase, someone has to be in the conversation, notice the hesitation and hear what was left unsaid. That takes a person's attention and judgement, so that work stays with people. So does the writing. AI helps us analyse each call in detail and gives our writers a first draft. Everything starts from what buyers say.

Almost ten years working with technology companies, most of it listening to buyers.

Clients and partners have included Microsoft, SAP, Google, Huawei, Crayon, Liquid Telecom, Westcon-Comstor and Adept ICT.

Questions people ask us before they call.

Do you guarantee that deals will close?

No. We work to give you a better chance of closing each deal, with a seller who understands the buyer, content built for that account and a closing presentation made for that deal. Whether a deal closes depends on things outside our immediate control.

Is this marketing or sales?

Both. Market listening shapes your positioning, your messaging and how you go to market. Prospect listening shapes the questions, the call analysis and the content for each deal. The same method runs through both, so buyers hear the same thing in your campaigns as they do in your meetings.

Do we have to start with full market research?

We prefer to, because positioning and messaging built on research hold up better with buyers. But it depends on your situation. Some clients start with a live deal, or with one problem, such as how to stand out from competitors. A full Positioning and Messaging Framework takes about ten weeks, research on its own about four, and a messaging sprint about two.

What does AI do in the work?

It helps with analysis and first drafts. It goes through each discovery call in detail and gives our writers a starting point for content on a single account. People do the listening, the thinking and the writing.

Tell us where a deal is stuck, or where your positioning is not landing.

The problems we hear most are how to position a company, how to stand out from competitors and how to get the market to notice its value. Whichever is yours, the first conversation is us listening to you.
